Software Products

PetroStudies Consultant's Software includes a wide variety of tools and products to solve both general and specific problems.

PSC's personnel and associates have experience in writing computer programs on a variety of platforms, from mainframes to personal computers. Languages such as C, Fortran, Basic and Visual Basic have been commonly used with operating systems including UNIXTM, VAX VMSTM, MS-DOS and WindowsTM. The tools used on a particular project reflect the needs of that project and in addition to the suite of programming languages also include applications such as MS Access, Excel and others. Each programmer has areas of other technical expertise in the petroleum industry often lacking in pure computer scientists. Resulting applications solve real world problems in a fashion geared to the end-user.

Clients may contract specific applications for development and/or consider the pre-existing applications available. Currently the available commercial products offered by PSC are the Reservoir Simulators (EXODUS) and (EXOTHERM - Thermal Simulator). The list of these products is continually growing as there are a number of programs at various stages of development so please contact us with your requests.  

 

Black-Oil/Compositional Reservoir Simulator for Microsoft  WindowsTM

Fully implicit 3D-3P, radial and cartesian grids with local grid refinement. Completely integrated Pre- and Post-Processors provide point and click operation for data building and analysis of results. 3D visualization capability with stereographic vision is included.  The latest version includes a number of self teaching videos.

Thermal Compositional Reservoir Simulator for Microsoft  WindowsTM

Simulate steam assisted recovery processors such as SAGD, steam drive, CSS, Model Combustion recovery processes and chemical reactions. Fully implicit 3D-3P, radial and cartesian grids with local grid refinement. Same GUI user interfaces as Exodus. Integrated discretized wellbore for horizontal wells with multiphase pressure losses.
